We have changed the way we process card payments when purchasing equipment from our website.
The general principle remains the same, select the items you wish to purchase and add them to your basket. When you are happy you have everything you need view your basket. Here you can alter quantities or delete items if needed. Again when happy click confirm, this takes you to the first part of the payment process where you are asked to enter your invoice address and shipping address. A comments box is at the bottom of the screen if you have any other information you think we might need to know. Clicking next takes you to the order confirmation screen. This again shows the products you are ordering and the total value of your order. If you have a Gift Voucher this is where you need to enter the serial number to have the voucher deducted from your invoice.
The new part.
Clicking next in the order confirmation screen now takes you to an ultra secure payment area managed by SagePay. This remains in the same browser window that you were using. The first screen confirms the amount you need to pay us and also allows you to select the card type you wish to use. Clicking the relevant card type takes you to the next screen where you enter your card details and check your billing address. The next screen gives you another opportunity to check the items you’ve ordered, most of the card details you provided and billing / delivery addresses. When all details are correct click proceed to submit your payment. If you have signed up to use 3D secure or verified by visa then the relevant confirmation will now be required. When this has been completed you will see a process bar while your card details are checked with your bank. Once this has been confirmed you will be taken back to our website and your order and payment references will be confirmed.
Our website and SagePay then send you and automated e-mail confirming your order and payment.
We are still using deferred payments, so although the relevant amount of money has been authorised by your bank payment is still not taken until your order is ready to be despatched.
So why have we decided to make this change. Basically we have a great deal of experience with regard to Archery equipment. SagePay know all there is to know about banks, online payments and security risks. So lets all do what we’re good at.
